I know I’m not the most active person ever right now but I thought I chine in with some ideas and issues. (Note: I don’t have a faction affiliation and have played for both sides in this campaign, and am just going off what was described by The Guy above. Also I’m typing on my phone cause reasons) 1. All charge call I think The Guy is right but I disagree with his sentiment that there is such a thing as a ‘ripe time’ to call All Charge. The reality is there is no such thing as a ‘fair’ All Charge except if its called in the first second of the round. ‘...lack of it caused surely cost the CF a victorious round’ demonstrates this, as The Guy is essentially saying its beneficial to CF if called then. Sadly, calling an all charge is beneficial to whichever side has more people at that point (since the losing team can no longer defend) or if their team is closer together. This can never be fair except if the teams are completely equal and similarly positioned which is rare to come by. Initially the rules in the first few campaign was that all charge would never be called because of this (except if its like 1 troll left who is running away against 30 people). However, in the later campaigns, the feedback was that this caused rounds to be way too long with too much camping, so it was bought back in. I think a suitable compromise should be that all charge can only be called with fair warning (e.g. all charge in x minutes if both teams are still camping). It essentially means regardless of who has the advantage then, all charge will still be called (although ofc it could just mean the winning team will just camp until its called but don’t really see a better solution). 2. Changing the map Changing the map to something that wasn’t pre-agreed is sure to cause a shitstorm about biasedness (are the maps still pre-agreed with faction heads beforehands nowadays? It used to be. If not I would definately propose they are so each faction can’t complain later about biased map-picking since your faction head OK it). How many times have we seen complaints about biased maps in the past? I personally agree that just disabling arty is fairer (probably beneficial to CF tbh since GE has god-emperor Merkel, probably the person with the all-time highest kill count in NRP history). I suggest that to avoid said problem about Merkel already having some kills, there should be a designated admin / faction rep on each team without whos approval the round can’t start (used to be a thing but I don’t know if still is). Again can’t complain then about biased admins since your rep ok’ed for the round to start. 3. Designated campaign admin to do all the slays etc. (mentioned in the guy’s other post) This was a rule in the first campaign (or at least during the first part of it, I can’t remember if it was continued) when the admin team was larger and I doubt anyone would disagree with it in principle. In practice, however, with the admin team a bit short of experienced manpower, I don’t know if its possible. Will anyone admin be willing to do this and not play in the campaign events? And before you say its their job, keep in mind admins are player volunteers not employees.

#1376573 # Corinthian (giving out pass no unban), from banlist. (the # before your GUID means you're already unbanned on NRP)
  3. SacrificialLamb

You sure? Try again just for good measure. Logs says you’re unbanned (unless I’m a retard)

(As much as Nobo says he hates these things I had to do one, if only to piss you off nobby) As mentioned on the discord, I'm leaving the UK and returning to Thailand for a long time (possibly forever if I don't return to do a masters degree). The time difference plus a full time job would mean I wouldn't be able to put in the hours to justify me being HA. As a result, I've handed over my HA-ship to Joeriig, someone who has already achieved incredible things in his short time on the server. I'm able to leave with no worries as I know he will only improve it much beyond what I had left behind, and what he had already helped strengthened. I wasn't a HA, admin or even a player for too long (joined NW in early 2017, admin in late 2017 and HA since May 2018) so I'll keep this short. I won't get into specific names etc. as there is simply too many amazing people I met during the relatively short time I was on the server and the even shorter time I was an admin and HA. Those of yous who helped me out as a player, admin, and HA you know who you are. I thank you so much for going out of your way to help or even just befriend a noob player, a noob admin, and finally a noob HA. Chances are, if you think you've helped me out or is a friend to me then you are, and I do wish to thank you. Before I came on NRP, I had no idea how amazing online games can be; I had never properly played an online game, and FIFA and FM were the only 2 games I had proper hours in. Even then, it was minute compared to the hours I later put into NW. I got the extension after never actually playing the Native multiplayer and with the expectation that there would be a NW singleplayer. When I found out there was no single player, I didn't know you could refund it and so resolved to stupidly put hours into the multi to justify the money I had already lost. I've never been happier to be so utterly retarded about something. And so I thank all of you so much for showing that you can actually meet people through a video game, get to know them, and start calling them your friends. It really has open my eyes, and it really has been a pleasure playing with and meeting you all. I hope to still see you on the server or discord sometime.

Soldat Supérieur, Head of State and Military of the Grande République Name: Pierre Léonard Roussaint (Affectionately known as "The Tax Collector) Player: Tax Collector Biography: Gaining influence in the Grande République proved difficult during times of peace; without military prowess or showmanship there was little to be found in opportunities to gain the respect of those around you. Pierre Léonard was a statesman charged with the defence and management of several small frontier provinces which had fallen into disrepair. At the time, the République was struggling to escape from a bout of recession and stagnation; despite being a military and industrial powerhouse, the lack of need for materials other than civilian goods was leading the nation down a path of almost certain ruin. In some circles there was even talk of common dissent or unrest, leading to rumours of open rebellion against the state. Pierre believed that the problem lay in the poorly managed frontier provinces, which had become convoluted and bloated which demanded more resources which were essentially wasted upon arriving at such needlessly complex jurisdictions. Some say his centralisation proposals were implemented far too quickly by how radically they changed the borders of the République, but regardless almost all frontier provinces were centralised into sweeping territories lead by a single commander-often with a designated levy of men to be raised on command of the Capital. A new Tax system-which taxed provinces based on the goods they received as opposed to the goods they produced-encouraged the various settlements to try and rely less on imports from the capital but rather focus more on exporting goods to the capital in order to avoid the hefty tax. While controversial (so controversial that the common soldiers would often simply refer to him as the Tax Collector) at first, the resulting circumstances lead to the struggling Capital of the République to blossom into a powerhouse to rival Paris herself, becoming the centre of everything which happened within the République. For his wise policies and aggressive attitude toward bureaucracy-as well as his noted military training-Pierre Léonard Roussaint became the Soldat Supérieur of the Grande République. The "Tax Collector" has several challenges ahead of him, almost all of which must be addressed and solved on the Battlefield. The level to which the entirety of the Réublique relies on its capital means that every single inch between the enemy and the glorious city must be defended at all costs. As a largely military-focused faction, several losses on the Battlefield will spell ruin for both Pierre and the République itself. With the levies raised and the civilians fiercely loyal, the Grande République looks to its neighbours with sword in hand.

Lidor Muzhchin (Leader of Men), Champion of the Rossiyskiy Soyuz Name: (Lidor Muzchin) Nirok Player: Niroc Biography: As is the case with all those living within the Russian Union, little can truly be confirmed about the past of its current Leader. Scattered whispers amongst the various military veterans of the Union speak of an infamous campaign against the leader of his home country, a war which ripped his country asunder. Lidor Muzchin Nirok-known to most as Lirdor Niroc-rose to power not through diplomatic trickery nor popular demand, but rather to fill a power vacuum well beyond its capacity. With countless years of military experience, he is known for little other than his knowledge of warfare and his ferocious temper. As the Russian refugees lived quietly all over the southern parts of the island, ever in fear of their northern neighbours, Nirok saw in them a weakness which sparked a fire that would go on to shake the Rossiyskiy Soyuz to the core. Gathering up the most powerful tribes and settlements, he forcefully resettled the strongest men into locations along the northern area of their territory, creating somewhat artificial but undeniable borders where French-British territory ended and "Russian" territory began. When other prominent figures in the Union attempted to speak out against this authoritarian approach to the civilians, Nirok responded not with words but instead with brutality unmatched on the island; mass executions of dissenters became commonplace. Despite the overhanging sense of dread in the Union, the raids and trespasses from British and French troops had stopped. The Refugees had gone largely undisturbed for quite some time. Law and order prevailed due to the presence of the massive-albeit somewhat organised-unified army. Gone were the days of chaos and confusion, a new era of unified defence of a likeminded people began to sweep across the Union. While there are still those who oppose or outright conspire against Nirok, he stands undisputed as the leader of the Rossiyskiy Soyuz and the lands it controls. Some time has passed since Nirok assumed the legendary title of Lidor Muzchin, and all traces of uncertainty or dissent have been swept asunder by the tide of prosperity and unity. Looking north, Nirok saw the frontier settlements cower in fear as the French and British forces began to posture and mobilise. The battle drums were sounding, and war was no longer a dreaded possibility but rather an accepted inevitability. Steeling his people, Lidor Muzchin Nirok faces an almost impossible challenge; land and lives will be lost, but through persistence and ferocity a future may yet be won for the Union.

Written by Scandy Royal Colonial Overseer of the Crown Colonies Name: (Mayor Elect) Shephard Kemp Player: Shephard Biography: The prominent settlement of Tawny was often seen as the unofficial centre of the Crown Colonies, even prior to the notion of the nation's existence. The arguable breadbasket of the surrounding settlements, it had always been a common source of supplies and manpower for other towns and mayorships as they attempted to further colonise the island. It was among the first of the major towns to suggest the notion of colonial unification on the island, using the past co-operation between the various groups as the foundation of its argument against the continued confrontations between the opportunistic explorers and mayors. As the first Capital of the Colonies-with the Declaration of Colonial Unity signed in its own Town Hall-it gained much legitimacy as it continued to produce successful candidates for RCO (Royal Colonial Overseer, the official "Ruler" of the various Mayor Elects) and used its influence to limit the level to which the rival Mayors could play one another for power. The latest Mayor Elect of Tawny was one Shephard Kemp, a military veteran who rose to popularity through his work on decentralisation, giving way to the highly flexible nature of the Crown Colony borders we see today. While his military prowess was not as notable as his governmental work, his attention to detail and dedication to the ideas of the Colony pushed him into the spotlight of Royal Colonial Overseer. Shephard was elected on a mandate of Colonial expansion, putting him under pressure to try and expand into land supposedly "claimed" by The Grande République. While certainly possible, this would likely stoke tensions beyond boiling point were it ever to be formally put into practice, however to ignore in favour of stability may cost Shephard his popularity. While not naive in regards to the ambitions of the powerful neighbours that the Crown Colonies face, Shephard sees the other factions-the Russians in particular-not as enemies to be crushed but rather nations of potential colonial men and women who are at risk of ruin should opportunistic ambitions get out of control. Mustering the Colonial Army, Shephard will ensure that no harm may come to the Colonial Borders. With the people of Tawny and the ever-bickering Mayors sworn to serve him, Shephard's term of leadership faces the first true test that the Colonies have had.

'Admin killed the server' *Pop the next day, even with the England world cup match on* And that's not even a one off, we've had this most days for the past month...

Please do at least confirm to me after reading my last comment that you understand how a poll works now? And if you do on what basis do you claim admins rig the polls? You have your opinions ofc about what is best for the server and you are free to express them. I, however, take accusations that an admin abused his powers seriously so wanted to clear that up. Also everyone lets tone it down a bit. It nice to see people worked up as it shows we all care about the server but we're on the same team here at the end of the day and the server is doing pretty damn good. Edit: The fact that you've refused to reply even to this point saddens me and makes me question whether you truly post these things because you care about the server or just wants to slander the admins, even after we've helped pop back up to 100+ most days. If you do honestly care about the server then when you get something wrong please do at least own up to it and apologise. If an admin makes a mistake, he will always be told to do the same by me. You can see this on other threads. If you wish to talk civilly on these matters then I expect the same from you.

What are you on about? How can admins even rig a poll? I think you've gotten very confused about how a poll works. We put in the poll, everyone gets a Press 1 to accept and 2 to reject thing. Once everyone does that, the poll is finished. What people write in chat isn't a factor as all. We want everyone to contribute not just the vocal minority. After everyone presses 1 or 2 or a timer runs out (not sure what the timer is, 1 minute?), the server tells us whether we got more 1s (poll is accepted) or 2 (poll is rejected). You do realise after a vote goes in, admin sees exactly what a player sees right? That is, nothing, until we're told vote is accepted or rejected at the same time a player is told? So on what basis are you claiming we rig the poll? 'The people' wanted cav vs inf Smyltnes, that won the vote. You yourself wanted battle and lost the vote. Don't then try to somehow claim 'the people' wanted battle. Aside from this, we've had literally 100+ pretty much everyday for a while now. Admins, along with the players help, did this. 1 or 2 off days in 2 weeks really is pretty normal. I've seen pop drop from pretty much every single RP. The main reason behind today's drop I believe was that it was a slow day in comparison to the usual 100+ days, so once we hit around 9pm-ish (our usual peak time), it was clear we weren't gonna get 100+ for once so people left. Your comment of 'same old story' clearly shows to me that either your logic is twisted, or you haven't been on the server much recently, otherwise you'll know we've had 100+ pretty much everyday apart from on sunday (all admins were busy and didn't get on till very late, about 8pm-ish, and we take responsibility for that) and today. Go on the discord and ask some of the regulars who've been on much recently. They'll tell you the same. I'd also like to reiterate that Battle rp is by far our most popular and prioritized rp. The map this vote was done in was Battle rp. It is also the ONLY RP we put on without a vote (every other RPs can only be put on by winning a vote), and EVERY vote is required to have battle as an option. Other threads on here have suggested we do this or that RP or make this or that changes and I have always always encourage that, even when I disagree with the idea itself. If you like battle rp, then sure, tell us so, but don't go around spreading lies about how admins are using some black magic to rig the vote. Regardless, I hope you still enjoy our server and that we'll still see you around.

Cut out the insults please on both sides. Any further insults will be deleted. I do instruct admins to not slay for an occasional 'friendly teamhit' (i.e. if its just 2 friends memeing about with each other). However, it is difficult to tell at times if this is the case and if a slay happens then I treat it as legitimate. Teamhits your friends at your own risk is the policy. We try to be understanding but if we happen to misunderstand a teamhit then that's the risk you take. The argument of 'why didn't you slay the other person' is one we hear a lot, but is clearly illegitimate. Admins slay the people they see break a rule, and we are not gods, we don't see everything. Mini saw you teamhitting and he slayed you legitimately. If he had known you guys were friends and only playing about, he wouldn't have slayed but that was the risk you took. This complaint is therefore rejected. I thank you for your understanding and hope to continue seeing you on the server.
